AGRICULTURE, FOOD AND FORESTRY (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1995.

The Government, on the request of the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Agriculture, Food and Forestry (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1995.

2. All the powers and duties of the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry conferred—

( a ) by or under the Acts specified in the First Schedule to this Order,

( b ) under the regulations and orders specified in the Second Schedule to this Order,

( c ) under the Land Purchase Acts and, in relation to the Irish Land Commission, by the Ministers and Secretaries Acts, 1924 (No. 16 of 1924),

( d ) by or under the Local Government Acts, 1925 to 1991, and the Local Authorities (Officers and Employees) Acts, 1926 to 1983, in relation to the office or to the holder of the office of veterinary inspector under a local authority, and

( e ) by every order and regulation continued in force by section 10 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966),

are hereby delegated to JIMMY DEENIHAN, Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order delegates to Jimmy Deenihan TD, Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry the powers and duties of the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry under the Acts, Orders and Regulations specified in the Order.
