S.I. No. 262/1981 - European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) (Amendment) Regulations, 1981.
I, ALAN M. DUKES, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), and for the purpose of giving effect to certain Commission Directives amending Council Directive No. 70/524/EEC of 23 November, 19701 (which Commission Directives are specified in Regulation 2 of the regulations hereunder), hereby make the following regulations: | ||||||||
1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) (Amendment) Regulations, 1981. | ||||||||
(2) The collective citation “the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) Regulations, 1974 to 1981” shall include these Regulations. | ||||||||
2. Regulation 2 of the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) Regulations, 1974 ( S.I. No. 302 of 1974 ), as amended by Regulation 3 of the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) (Amendment) Regulations, 1979 ( S.I. No. 6 of 1979 ), and Regulation 2 of the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) (Amendment) Regulations, 1980 ( S.I. No. 250 of 1980 ), shall be construed and have effect as if the reference in the definition of “the Council Directive” to the Ninth Commission Directive No. 74/421/EEC of 23rd July, 19742 , included a reference to each of the following, namely, the Thirty-second Commission Directive No. 80/618/EEC of 26 June, 19803 , the Thirty-fourth Commission Directive No. 80/884/EEC of 4 September, 19804 , the Thirty-Fifth Commission Directive No. 80/1139/EEC of 25 November, 19805 , the Thirty-sixth Com mission Directive No. 80/1156/EEC of 28 November, 19806 , and the Thirty-seventh Commission Directive No. 81/332/EEC of 9 April 19817 . | ||||||||
3. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 10th day of August 1981. | ||||||||

These Regulations amend the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) (Amendment) Regulations, 1974 to 1980, so as to bring into force amendments made in the meantime to Council Directive 70/524/EEC through the thirty-second, thirty-fourth, firty-fifth, thirty-sixth and thirty-seventh Commission Directives. | ||||||||
