S.I. No. 6/1979 - European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) (Amendment) Regulations, 1979.
I, JAMES GIBBONS, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), and for the purpose of giving effect to Second Council Directive No. 75/296/EEC of 28 April, 1975, and to certain Commission Directives amending Council Directive No. 70/524/EEC of 23 November, 1970 (which Commission Directives are specified in Regulation 3 (b) of the Regulations hereunder), hereby make the following regulations: 1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) (Amendment) Regulations, 1979. | ||
(2) The Principal Regulations and these Regulations may be cited together as the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) Regulations, 1974 and 1979. 2. In these Regulations "the Principal Regulations" means the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) Regulations, 1974 ( S.I. No. 302 of 1974 ). 3. Regulation 2 of the Principal Regulations shall be construed and have effect as if the reference in the definition of "the Council Directive" to the Ninth Commission Directive No. 74/421/EEC of 23rd July 19741, included a reference to each of the following, namely: | ||

These Regulations amend the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) Regulations, 1974, so as to bring into force amendments made in the meantime to Council Directive 70/524/EEC. |
