Cost of elections.

27.—(1) The costs and expenses of an election (including the costs and expenses of the taking of a preliminary poll), other than expenses incurred by candidates on their own behalf, shall be borne by the designated body to which the election relates.

(2) The Minister may make regulations providing for all or any of the following matters:

(a) the way and period in or during which a returning officer shall present his accounts,

(b) the way and period in or during which persons having claims by virtue of this section shall present their claims,

(c) the adjudication of disputes.
