LOCAL ELECTIONS AND MEETINGS (POSTPONEMENT) ACT, 1931.

AN ACT TO POSTPONE THE TRIENNIAL ELECTIONS TO CERTAIN LOCAL AUTHORITIES WHICH ARE DUE TO BE HELD NEXT AFTER THE PASSING OF THIS ACT AND TO POSTPONE THE ELECTIONS TO CERTAIN OTHER LOCAL AUTHORITIES WHICH ARE REQUIRED BY LAW TO BE HELD WITHIN A PERIOD EXPIRING WITHIN THREE YEARS AFTER THE PASSING OF THIS ACT AND TO POSTPONE MEETINGS OF LOCAL AUTHORITIES REQUIRED BY LAW TO BE HELD DURING THE PERIOD COMMENCING ON THE 23rd DAY OF JUNE, 1932, AND ENDING ON THE 1st DAY OF JULY, 1932, AND TO MAKE PROVISIONS CONSEQUENTIAL ON OR INCIDENTAL TO SUCH POSTPONEMENTS. BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS OF SAORSTÁT EIREANN AS FOLLOWS:—
