CONSTITUTION (AMENDMENT No. 5) ACT, 1927.


AN ACT TO AMEND THE CONSTITUTION BY INCREASING THE MAXIMUM MEMBERSHIP OF THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL FROM SEVEN TO TWELVE MEMBERS. [5th May, 1927.]

BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS OF SAORSTAT EIREANN AS FOLLOWS:—

Increase of membership of Executive Council.

1.—The Constitution shall be and is hereby amended by the deletion from Article 51 thereof of the words “not more than seven” and the insertion in that Article of the words “not more than twelve” in lieu of the said words so deleted.

Short title.

2.—This Act may be cited as the Constitution (Amendment No. 5) Act, 1927.
