Medical officer of health in county of London.

76.(1) The London County Council may, with the consent of a Secretary of State,[1] at any time appoint one or more legally qualified practitioner or practitioners, with such remuneration as they think fit, for the purpose of carrying into effect any part of this Act.

(2) Any medical officer of health appointed by the London County Council, and any officer appointed under this section by the London County Council, shall be deemed to be a medical officer of health of a local authority within the meaning of this Act.
