Prosperous Markets Act 1783

Bills issued current to receivers, collectors, and at treasury from 24 June 1794.

V. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, That every treasury bill which shall be issued pursuant to this act, shall and may after the twenty fourth day of June one thousand seven hundred and ninety four, if not sooner paid, be received, taken, and be current to any receiver or collector of the customs, excise, or any revenue, aid, or tax in this kingdom, for and in satisfaction of any custom, excise, aid, or tax then due, or thereafter to become due or payable to your Majesty, your heirs and successors, and shall be taken, pass, and be current at the receipt of your Majesty’s treasury, from every such receiver or collector for or in respect of the customs, excise, or any other revenue, aid, or tax by him received or collected, from and after the said twenty fourth day of June one thousand seven hundred and ninety four.
