S.I. No. 518/2020 - Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 (Section 31) Order 2020

I, DARRAGH O’BRIEN, Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (3) of section 31 of the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 (No. 13 of 2020), and being satisfied it is appropriate to do so having regard to the matters specified in paragraphs (a) to (c) of that subsection as they relate to the bodies to which the following order applies, hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 (Section 31) Order 2020.

(2) This Order comes into operation on 9 November 2020.

2. The following bodies are, for the purposes of section 31 of the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 (No. 13 of 2020), designated and may hold hearings before it by remote hearing:

An Bord Pleanála, established under section 3 of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act 1976 (No. 20 of 1976);

The National Oversight and Audit Commission, established under Part 12A of the Local Government Act 2001 (No. 37 of 2001), as inserted by section 61 of the Local Government Reform Act 2014 (No. 1 of 2014);

The Property Registration Authority, established under section 9 of the Registration of Deeds and Title Act 2006 (No. 12 of 2006);

The Pyrite Resolution Board, established under section 8 of the Pyrite Resolution Act 2013 (No. 51 of 2013);

The Residential Tenancies Board, established under section 150 of the Residential Tenancies Act 2004 (No. 27 of 2004), as re-named under section 13 of the Residential Tenancies (Amendment) Act 2015 (No. 42 of 2015); and

The Valuation Tribunal, as continued in being under section 12 of the Valuation Act 2001 (No. 13 of 2001).
