AN ACT TO MAKE BETTER PROVISION, IN THE INTERESTS OF THE COMMON GOOD, IN RELATION TO THE PROPER PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT OF CITIES, TOWNS AND OTHER AREAS, WHETHER URBAN OR RURAL, AND, FOR THAT PURPOSE, TO ESTABLISH A BODY TO BE KNOWN AS AN BORD PLEANALA AND TO DEFINE ITS FUNCTIONS AND TO AMEND AND EXTEND THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT (PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT) ACT, 1963 , AND TO PROVIDE FOR OTHER MATTERS CONNECTED WITH THE MATTERS AFORESAID.
