LONG TERM RESIDENCY (FEES) REGULATIONS 2009

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 8th September, 2009.

I, DERMOT AHERN, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 19(1)(a) and 20 of the Immigration Act 2004 (No. 1 of 2004), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following regulations:

1. Long Term Residency is a status capable of being conferred on qualifying persons who have been legally resident in the State on the basis of work permit / work authorisation / work visa conditions and have made application to have that status conferred upon them.

2. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Long Term Residency (Fees) Regulations 2009.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on 7th September 2009.

3. A fee of €500 shall be paid by the Applicant to the Minister on the initial grant of a long term residency permission.

The Minister for Finance consents to the making of the foregoing Regulations.
