ISLAND CONNECTING BUS PASSENGER SERVICES (CENTRE OF SECOND LEVEL EDUCATION) REGULATIONS 2008

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 30th December, 2008.

I, ÉAMON Ó CUÍV, Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 2(4) of the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs (Powers and Functions) Act 2003 (No. 39 of 2003) as amended by section 5 of the Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2007 (No. 32 of 2007) with the consent of the Minister for Finance and the Minister for Transport and having reasonable grounds to believe, after consultation with the Minister for Education and Science, that the educational needs of the students concerned would be seriously prejudiced if such a centre was not so specified, hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Island Connecting Bus Passenger Services (Centre of Second Level Education) Regulations 2008.

2. Garbally College, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway is specified as a centre of second level education for the purposes of section 2(4)(b)(ii) of the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs (Powers and Functions) Act 2003 (No. 39 of 2003) as amended by section 5 of the Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2007 (No. 32 of 2007).

The Minister for Finance consents to the making of the foregoing Regulations.
