EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (INTERNAL MARKET IN NATURAL GAS) (BGÉ) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2008 | ||

I, EAMON RYAN, Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving further effect to Directive 2003/55/EC 1 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 June 2003, hereby make the following regulations: | ||
1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Internal Market in Natural Gas) (BGÉ) (Amendment) Regulations 2008. | ||
(2) These Regulations come into operation on the 4th day of July 2008. | ||
2. The European Communities (Internal Market in Natural Gas) (BGÉ) Regulations 2005 ( S.I. No. 760 of 2005 ) are amended by substituting the following for Regulation 10: | ||
“Minister to fix date for implementing transfer plan. | ||
10. As soon as practicable after a transfer plan submitted in accordance with Regulation 9 has been approved by the Minister, the Minister shall fix a transfer date for the plan to be implemented, notice of which date shall be published in the Iris Oifigiúil as soon as practicable thereafter.”. | ||

These Regulations amend Regulation 10 of the European Communities (Internal Market in Natural Gas (BGÉ) Regulations 2005 ( S.I. No. 760 of 2005 ), by providing that the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources may publish a notice in Iris Oifigiuil setting a transfer date for the Transfer Plan between BGÉ and Gaslink to be implemented. | ||
