EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (DISEASES OF ANIMALS) (REVOCATION) REGULATIONS 2008 | ||

I, BRENDAN SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), hereby make the following regulations— | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Diseases of Animals) (Revocation) Regulations 2008. | ||
2. The following are revoked— | ||
(a) the European Communities (Newcastle Disease) Regulations 1994 ( S.I. No. 226 of 1994 ), | ||
(b) the European Communities (Control of Infectious Animal Diseases) Regulations 1994 ( S.I. No. 317 of 1994 ), | ||
(c) the European Communities (Control of Infectious Animal Diseases) Regulations 1995 ( S.I. No. 277 of 1995 ), | ||
(d) the European Communities (Swine Vesicular Disease) Regulations 1995 ( S.I. No. 373 of 1995 ), | ||
(e) the European Communities (Notification of Varroasis in Bees) Regulations, 1996 ( S.I. No. 268 of 1996 ), and | ||
(f) the European Communities (Control of Infectious Animal Diseases) (Amendment) Regulations 2002 ( S.I. No. 125 of 2002 ). | ||
3. A notification made under a Regulation revoked by Regulation 2 and in force immediately before the making of these Regulations is considered to be notification under Article 3(1) of the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Notification and Control of Animal Diseases) Order 2008 ( S.I. No. 101 of 2008 ). | ||
4. A notice served under a provision revoked by Regulation 2 and in force immediately before the making of these Regulations is considered to be a restriction notice made, and may be varied or withdrawn as if made, under the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Notification and Control of Animal Diseases) Order 2008 ( S.I. No. 101 of 2008 ). | ||

These Regulations revoke instruments dealing with animal diseases whose provisions have been incorporated in the Diseases of Animals Act 1966 (Notification and Control of Animal Diseases) Order 2008, ( S.I. No. 101 of 2008 ). | ||
