AGRICULTURE, FISHERIES AND FOOD (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) (No. 2) ORDER 2008

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 22nd April, 2008.

The Government, on the request of the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2(1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order 2008.

2. The powers (other than the power to prosecute an offence) and duties of the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food conferred on her—

(a) by or under the enactments specified in Part 1 of the Schedule,

(b) under the Regulations made under section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) specified in Part 2 of the Schedule, and

(c) by or under—

(i) the Local Government Acts 1925 to 2007, and

(ii) the Local Authorities (Officers and Employees) Acts 1926 to 1983,

in so far as they relate to an enactment specified in Part 1 or Regulations specified in Part 2 of the Schedule, as respects the office, or the holder of the office, of inspector or veterinary inspector appointed by a local authority,

are delegated to Mary Wallace, Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
