JUSTICE, EQUALITY AND LAW REFORM (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) (NO. 2) ORDER 2007

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 31st July, 2007.

The Government, on the request of the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2(1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows—

1. The Order may be cited as the Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order, 2007.

2. The powers and duties of the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform conferred on him by or under—

(a) the Disability Act, 2005 (No. 14 of 2005), and

(b) the National Disability Authority Act (No. 14 of 1999),

are delegated to James Devins, Minister of State at the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform.

This delegation of Ministerial Functions Order allows for the duties conferred on the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform by the Disability Act, 2005 and the National Disability Authority Act, 1999 to be delegated to the Minister of State, Dr. James Devins, T.D.
