CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT 2007 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER 2007

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 1st May, 2007.

I, MICHEÁL MARTIN, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1(2) of the Consumer Protection Act 2007 (No. 19 of 2007), hereby order as follows—

1. This Order may be cited as the Consumer Protection Act 2007 (Commencement) Order 2007.

2. The 1st day of May 2007 is appointed as the day on which the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act 2007 (No. 19 of 2007), other than sections 48 and 49, come into operation.

This Order appoints the 1st day of May 2007 as the date on which the Consumer Protection Act 2007 (No. 19 of 2007), with the exception of sections 48 and 49, comes into operation.
