I, MARY COUGHLAN, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of thw powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Directive 2006/41/EC of 7 July 2006 1 , Commission Directive 2006/131/EC of 11 December 2006 2 , Commission Directive 2006/132/EC of 11 December 2006 3 , Commission Directive 2006/133/EC of 11 December 2006 4 , Commission Directive 2006/134/EC of 11 December 2006 5 , Commission Directive 2006/135/EC of 11 December 2006 6 , Commission Directive 2006/136/EC of 11 December 2006 7 , Commission Directive 2006/64/EC of 18 July 2006 8 and Commission Directive 2006/85/EC of 23 October 2006 9 , hereby make the following Regulations: | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Authorization, Placing on the Market, Use and Control of Plant Protection Products) (Amendment) Regulations 2007 and come into operation on 1 February 2007. | ||
2. The European Communities (Authorization, Placing on the Market, Use and Control of Plant Protection Products) Regulations 2003 ( S.I. No. 83 of 2003 ) are amended, in Regulation 2(1), by substituting for the definition of “Directive of 1991” (inserted by the European Communities (Authorization, Placing on the Market, Use and Control of Plant Protection Products) (Amendment) (No. 5) Regulations 2006 ( S.I. No. 563 of 2006 )) the following— | ||

These Regulations amend Council Directive 91/414/EEC to include clothianidin, pethoxamid, methamidophos, procymidone, flusilazole, fenarimol, carbendazim, dinocap, clopyralid, cyprodinil, fosetyl, trinexapac, fenamiphos and ethephon as active substances. | ||
