Transfer of Execution of Sentences Act 2005 (Commencement) Order 2006

I, Michael McDowell, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 14(2) of the Transfer of Execution of Sentences Act 2005 (No. 28 of 2005), hereby order as follows:

1.          This Order may be cited as the Transfer of Execution of Sentences Act 2005 (Commencement) Order 2006.

2.         The 1st day of February 2007 is appointed as the day on which the Transfer of Execution of Sentences Act 2005 (No. 28 of 2005) shall come into operation.

This Order fixes the date on which the Transfer of Execution of Sentences Act 2005 comes into operation.
