Mussel Seed (Conservation) (No.10) Regulations 2006

I, John Browne, Minister of State at the Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 15 of the Sea-Fisheries and Maritime Jurisdiction Act 2006 (No 8 of 2006) and the Marine (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order 2006 ( S.I. No. 167 of 2006 ) hereby make the following regulations:

1.   These Regulations may be cited as the Mussel Seed (Conservation) (No. 10 Regulations 2006.

2.   The following are revoked:

a)   Mussel Seed (Conservation) (No. 4) Regulations 2006 (S.I. 368 of 2006)

b)   Mussel Seed (Conservation) (No. 5) Regulations 2006 (S.I. 403 of 2006)

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation).

The effect of these Regulations is to provide for the opening of the mussel seed fishery in an area of the Irish Sea off Wicklow Head North East, bounded by the following co-ordinates:-

NE 52 59.5 5 56.4

SE 52 58.9 5 56.4

SW 52 58.9 5 57.2

NW 52 59.5 5 57.2

and

the opening of the mussel seed fishery in an area of the Irish Sea North of Lambay bounded by the following co-ordinates:-
