I, Mary Coughlan, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No.27 of 1972 and for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Directive 2006/61/EC of 7 July 20061 and Commission Directive 2006/62/EC of 12 July 20062 , hereby make the following Regulations- 1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Pesticide Residues) (Cereals) (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 2006. 2. The European Communities (Pesticide Residues) (Cereals) Regulations 1999 ( S.I. No 181 of 1999 ) are amended in Regulation 2 (1) by substituting for the definition of “Directive” (inserted by the European Communities (Pesticide Residues) (Cereals) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2006 ( S.I. No. 260 of 2006 ) ), the following - | ||||||||

These Regulations amend existing regulations on the fixing of maximum residue levels for pesticides in and on cereals. | ||||||||
Commission Directive 2006/61/EC amends the levels of atrazine, azinphos-ethyl ethephon and triazophos. | ||||||||
Commission Directive 2006/62/EC amends the levels of desmedipham phenmedipham and chlorfenvinphos. | ||||||||
