Ringaskiddy Free Port (Control and Management) Order 2005

I, Pat the Cope Gallagher, Minister of State at the Department for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Free Ports Act 1986 (No. 6 of 1986) and the Communications (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 1987 ( S.I. No. 91 of 1987 ) (as adapted by the Marine and Natural Resources (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 307 of 2002 )), and the Marine (Delegation of Ministerial Functions (No. 2) Order 2004 ( S.I. No. 703 of 2004 ), with the consent of the Minister for Finance and the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, hereby order as follows:

1.          This Order may be cited as the Ringaskiddy Free Port (Control and Management Order 2005.

2.          Port of Cork Company, a company incorporated on 28 February 1997, is designated for the purposes of section 3 of the Free Ports Act 1986 (No. 6 of 1986) in relation to the free port established by the Ringaskiddy Free Port (Establishment) Order 1988 ( S.I. No. 113 of 1988 ).

3.          The Ringaskiddy Free Port (Control and Management) Order 1989 ( S.I. No. 22 of 1989 ) is revoked.

The Minister for Finance consents to the making of the foregoing Order.

The Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment consents to the making of the foregoing Order.

Explanatory Note

This Order provides for the designation of the Port of Cork Company to control and manage the Ringaskiddy Free Port.
