ORDER

Education (Welfare) Act 2000 (Section 28) (Prescribed Bodies) Regulations 2005

I, Mary Hanafin, Minister for Education and Science, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 28 of the Education (Welfare) Act 2000 (No. 22 of 2000) hereby make the following regulations:

1.   These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Welfare) Act 2000 (Section 28) (Prescribed Bodies) Regulations 2005.

2.   In these Regulations, “Act” means the Education Act 1998 (No. 51 of 1998).

3.   Each of the bodies specified in the Schedule to these Regulations is prescribed for the purposes of section 28 of the Education (Welfare) Act 2000 (No. 22 of 2000).

SCHEDULE

1.   The Minister for Education and Science.

2.   The National Council for Special Education.

3.   The National Educational Welfare Board.

4.   Each school which is a school recognised for the purposes of the Act in accordance with section 10 of the Act.

5.   Each place designated by the Minister under section 10 of the Act to be a centre for education.
