ORDER

entitled

Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act 1993 (Section 14) Order 2005

I, Brian Cowen, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 14(1) of the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act 1993 (No. 8 of 1993) hereby order as follows:

1.       (1)       This Order may be cited as the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act 1993 (Section 14) Order 2005.

(2)       This Order is deemed to have come into operation on 1 July 2005

2.       On and from 1 July 2005 the annual rate of remuneration of the Comptroller and Auditor General is €203,014.

3.       The Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act 1993 (Section 14) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 116 of 2002 ) is revoked

This Order applies an increase with effect from 1 July 2005 to the salary of the of the Comptroller and Auditor General, arising from the recommendations in Report No. 40 of the Review Body on Higher Remuneration in the Public Sector.
