HEALTH CONTRIBUTIONS (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2005.

The Minister for Health and Children, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by section 13 of the Health Contributions Act 1979 ( No. 4 of 1979 ) (as adapted by the Health (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister Order, 1997), with the sanction of the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following regulations:—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Health Contributions (Amendment) Regulations, 2005.

2. Article 21 of the Health Contributions Regulations 1979 (No. 107 of 1979) is amended by the substitution of “Vote for the Health Service Executive” for “Vote for Health”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)

These Regulations amend the Health Contributions Regulations 1979. Section 21 of the Health Contributions Regulations 1979 states that “All sums paid over to the Minister in accordance with Section 13 of the Health Contributions Act 1979 shall be appropriated in aid of the Vote for Health”.

These regulations provide that all sums paid over to the Minister under Section 13 of the Act, including sums in 2004 to be paid in 2005, shall now be appropriated in aid of the Vote for the Health Service Executive.
