TRANSPORT, ENERGY AND COMMUNICATIONS (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS ORDER, 1995.

The Government, on the request of the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 2 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1977 (No. 28 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Transport, Energy and Communications (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1995.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 20th day of June, 1995.

2. (1) The powers and duties of the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications, conferred on him by or under the enactments specified in the First Schedule to this Order and the statutory instruments and provisions of statutory instruments specified in the Second Schedule to this Order are hereby delegated to Emmet Stagg T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Energy and Communications.

(2) The powers and duties in relation to meteorological services conferred by he Ministers and Secretaries Act, 1924 (No. 16 of 1924), on the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications are hereby delegated to Emmet Stagg T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Energy and Communications.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order delegates to Emmet Stagg T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Energy and Communications, the powers and duties of the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications in relation to Energy and Transport functions as conferred on the Minister by or under enactments specified in the First Schedule to this Order and the Statutory Instruments and provisions of Statutory Instruments specified in the Second Schedule to this Order. It also delegates to Emmet Stagg, T.D., the powers and duties in relation to the Meteorological Service as exercised by the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications.
