TELEPHONE (AMENDMENT) (No. 2) SCHEME, 1989.

BORD TELECOM ÉIREANN, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 90, Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983 (No. 24 of 1983) hereby makes the following Scheme:

1. (1) This Scheme may be cited as the Telephone (Amendment) (No. 2) Scheme, 1989.

(2) The Telephone Schemes 1980 to 1989 and this Scheme may be cited together as the Telephone Schemes 1980 to 1989.

2. This Scheme shall come into operation on 1 October, 1989.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Scheme.

4. In this Scheme "the Scheme of 1988" means the Telephone (Amendment) Scheme 1988 ( S.I. No. 256 of 1988 ).

5. The Telephone Regulations, 1980 ( S.I. No. 195 of 1980 ), are hereby amended by:

( a ) the substitution of the following Schedule for the Second Schedule thereto (inserted by paragraph 6 (d) of the Scheme of 1988):

"SECOND SCHEDULE.

Charges for Subscriber Dialled Trunk Calls (where the service is available).

Per Period or part of a Period of Time specified in the Table to this Schedule appropriate to the Call.

(a) to a subscriber without a coinbox:

Full Rate: The full rate applies to calls made at or after 8 a.m. and before 6 p.m. on normal working days from Monday to Friday (inclusive).

Reduced Rules: The reduced rate applies to calls made as follows:

(i) at or after 6 p.m. and before 8 a.m. from Monday to Friday (inclusive) for calls described in Paragraph 1;

(ii) all day on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays described in Paragraph 1.

(iii) at or after 6 p.m. and before 12 p.m. from Monday to Friday (inclusive) for calls described in Paragraph 2.

(iv) at or after 8 a.m. and before 12 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays; for calls described in Paragraph 2 and

(v) such other times as Bord Telecom Éireann may from time to time announce by advertisement in the national morning daily newspapers.

Economy Rate: The economy rate applies to calls described in Paragraph 2 made at or after 12 p.m. and before 8 a.m. everyday.

Per period or part of a period of time specified in Table B to this Schedule appropriate to the calls.

(d) for a caller from a call office

(a) Andorra, Azores, Balearic Islands, Belgium, Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla, Denmark (including Faroe Islands), France, Germany (Federal Republic), Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Madeira, Monaco, Netherlands, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Switzerland and Vatican City.

(i) Full rate (from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. Monday to Friday inclusive.)

(ii) Reduced rate (from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. from Monday to Friday (inclusive) and throughout Saturday, Sunday, Public Holidays and such other times as Bord Telecom Éireann may from time to time announce by advertisement in the national morning daily newspapers.
