S.I. No. 307/1976 - The Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1976, (Establishment of an Bord Pleanála) Order, 1976.


The Minister for Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 2 of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1976 , (No. 20 of 1976), and by articles 17 and 18 of the Schedule to the said Act hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1976, (Establishment of An Bord Pleanála) Order, 1976.

2. The 1st day of January, 1977, is hereby appointed to be the establishment day for the purposes of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1976 .

3. The first meeting of An Bord Pleanála shall take place on the 5th day of January, 1977, at 12 noon in the Conference Room, Custom House, Dublin 1.

4. The quorum for a meeting of An Bord Pleanála shall be three.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The Order appoints the 1st January, 1977, to be the establishment day for the purposes of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1976 . An Bord Pleanála will be established on that day. The Order also fixes the quorum for a meeting of the Board at three and fixes the date, time and place of its first meeting.
