INLAND POST AMENDMENT (No. 18) WARRANT, 1973.

I, CONOR CRUISE-O'BRIEN, Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 2 , 3 and 6 of the Post Office (Amendment) Act, 1969 (No. 18 of 1969), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Warrant may be cited as the Inland Post Amendment (No. 18) Warrant, 1973.

(2) This Warrant shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1973.

2. In this Warrant "the Principal Warrant" means the Inland Post Warrant, 1939 ( S.R. & O. No. 202 of 1939 ).

3. The First Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 7 of the Inland Post Amendment (No. 17) Warrant, 1971 ( S.I. No. 31 of 1971 )) of the entries in the First Schedule to this Warrant.

4. The Second Schedule to the Principal Warrant, as amended by Regulation 8 of the Inland Post Amendment (No. 17) Warrant, 1971, is hereby further amended by the substitution for the entry therein numbered 3 of the entry in the Second Schedule to this Warrant.

5. The Fourth Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 10 of the Inland Post Amendment (No. 17) Warrant, 1971) of the entries in the Third Schedule to this Warrant.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Warrant applies to the Inland Post service and comes into operation on the 1st July, 1973. It authorises increases in the letter, postcard, printed packet, newspaper, sample packet and parcel post rates of postage and in the registration and advice of delivery fees
