HARBOUR RATES (LIMERICK HARBOUR) ORDER, 1972.

I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer o Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and after due compliance with section 106 of that Act, hereby order as follows :

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Limerick Harbour) Order, 1972.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 22nd day of June, 1972.

2. The maximum goods rates to be charged by the Limerick Harbour Commissioners (including the maximum goods rate to be so charged in the case of cement clinker) are hereby fixed as the rates chargeable under the Harbour Rates (Limerick Harbour) Order, 1942 ( S. R. & O. No. 469 of 1942 ), as amended by Article 2 of the Harbour Rates (Limerick Harbour) Order, 1953 ( S.I. No. 356 of 1953 ), Article 2 of the Harbour Rates (Limerick Harbour) Order, 1958 ( S.I. No. 113 of 1958 ), and Articles 2 and 3 of the Harbour Rates Order (Limerick Harbour) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 191 of 1961 ), increased by twenty per cent.

3. Article 3 (1) of the Harbour Rates (Limerick Harbour) Order, 1958, is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to authorise the Limerick Harbour Commissioners to charge revised goods rates and to revoke the charges for the use of a weighbridge.
