HARBOUR RATES (LIMERICK HARBOUR) ORDER, 1958.

I, SEÁN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and after due compliance with section 106 of that Act, hereby order as follows :—

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Limerick Harbour) Order, 1958.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 26th day of May, 1958.

2. The maximum goods rates to be charged by the Limerick Harbour Commissioners shall be the rates authorised immediately before the commencement of this Order by the Harbour Rates (Limerick Harbour) Order, 1942 ( S. R. & O. No. 469 of 1942 ), as amended by the Harbour Rates (Limerick Harbour) Order, 1953 ( S.I. No. 356 of 1953 ), increased by twenty per cent.

3. (1) The following rates are hereby fixed as the maximum rates to be charged by the Limerick Harbour Commissioners for the use of a weighbridge at Limerick Harbour :

for load not exceeding 30 hundredweights

0s.

4d.

for each additional ton or portion of a ton

0s.

4d.

for motor vehicles weighed for taxation

2s.

0d.

(2) Every statutory or other provision fixing, restricting or otherwise regulating the rates or the maximum or minimum rates chargeable by the Limerick Harbour Commissioners for the use of a weighbridge at Limerick Harbour or the basis on which or the method by which such rates are computed is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order fixes revised maximum rates on goods and for the use of weighbridges, which may be charged by the Limerick Harbour Commissioners.
