RIVER LEE HYDRO-ELECTRIC SCHEME APPROVAL ORDER, 1949 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1957.

I, SEÁN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (2) of section 38 of the Electricity (Supply) (Amendment) Act, 1945 (No. 12 of 1945), as amended by section 2 of the Electricity (Supply) (Amendment) Act, 1952 (No. 4 of 1952), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the River Lee Hydro-Electric Scheme Approval Order, 1949 (Amendment) Order, 1957.

2. The sum of £4,500,000 is hereby prescribed as the maximum sum to be advanced for the purpose of carrying out the Scheme approved by the River Lee Hydro-Electric Scheme Approval Order, 1949 ( S.I. No. 321 of 1949 ).

3. The River Lee Hydro-Electric Scheme Approval Order, 1949 (Amendment) Order, 1955 ( S.I. No. 44 of 1955 ), is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This instrument increases from £4,000,000 to £4,500,000 the prescribed maximum sum to be advanced for the purpose of carrying out the River Lee Hydro-Electric Scheme.
