FISHERIES (DELEGATION OF MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1951.

The Government, at the request of the Minister for Agriculture and in exercise of the powers conferred on them by subsection (1) of section 9 of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Fisheries (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1951.

2. The several statutory powers and duties of the Minister for Agriculture specified in the Schedule to this Order are hereby delegated to Gearóid Mac Pharthaláin, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Agriculture.

SCHEDULE.

The powers and duties in relation to fisheries of the Minister for Agriculture under each of the following Acts :—

1. The Fisheries Acts, 1842 to 1949.

2. The Fisheries (Revision of Loans) Act, 1931 (No. 33 of 1931).

3. The Oil in Navigable Waters Act, 1926 (No. 5 of 1926).

4. The Statistics Act, 1926 (No. 12 of 1926).

5. The Electricity (Supply) Acts, 1927 to 1949.

6. The Sea Fisheries Act, 1931 (No. 4 of 1931).

7. The Shannon Fisheries Acts, 1935 and 1938.

8. The Whale Fisheries Act, 1937 (No. 4 of 1937).

9. The Agricultural Products (Regulation of Import) Act, 1938 (No. 14 of 1938).

10. The Arterial Drainage Act, 1945 (No. 3 of 1945).

11. The Turf Development Act, 1946 (No. 10 of 1946).

12. The Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947).

13. The Local Authorities (Works) Act, 1949 (No. 17 of 1949).

14. The Freshwater Fisheries (Prohibition of Netting) Act, 1951 (No. 21 of 1951).
