FLOUR AND BREAD (RATIONING) ORDER, 1946 (SUPPLEMENTAL PROVISIONS) (No. 7) ORDER, 1949.

I, DANIEL MORRISSEY, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Article 31 of the Emergency Powers Order, 1939 (S. R. & O. No. 224 of 1939), as amended by the Emergency Powers (No. 173) Order, 1942 (S. R. & O. No. 166 of 1942) (which Orders are continued in force by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :—

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Flour and Bread (Rationing) Order, 1946 (Supplemental Provisions) (No. 7) Order, 1949.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 28th day of May, 1949.

2. In this Order, the expression " the Principal Order " means the Flour and Bread (Rationing) Order, 1946 ( S. R. & O. No. 388 of 1946 ), as amended by subsequent Orders.

3. This Order shall be construed as one with the Principal Order.

4. This Order is supplemental to the Principal Order.

5. For the purposes of the Principal Order—

(a) the period (in this Order referred to as the third ration period) of twenty-six weeks commencing on the 28th day of May, 1949, shall be a ration period ;

(b) pages 18 and 19 of a general ration book shall be the registration pages applicable to the third ration period ;

(c) each coupon forming part of the pages referred to in paragraph (b) of this Article and marked with a letter and a number specified in the first column of the Schedule to this Order shall be a flour or bread coupon, but shall be valid only for the ration week commencing on the appropriate date set out in the second column of that Schedule ;

(d) the supplementary registration pages applicable to the third ration period shall be those entitled " Supplementary Registration Page for Flour or Bread " and containing coupons marked FB. 1 to FB. 26 ;

(e) page 20 of a general ration book containing coupons shall be a wheatmeal page ;

(f) each coupon referred to in paragraph (e) of this Article shall be a wheatmeal coupon, but shall be valid only for any ration week in the third ration period.
