BEERHOUSES (IRELAND) ACT (1864) AMENDMENT ACT 1871

CHAPTER CXI.

An Act to amend the Beerhouses (Ireland) Act, 1864, and for other purposes relating thereto. [21st August 1871.]

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as “The Beerhouses (Ireland) Act (1864) Amendment Act, 1871.”

Extent.

2. This Act shall not apply to England or Scotland.

Definition of “beer.

3. In the construction of the principal Act the term “beer” shall include ale and porter.

Extent of repeal of 27 & 28 Vict. c. 35. s. 14.

4. [Repeal of 27 & 28 Vict. c. 35. s. 14]. Such repeal shall not extend or apply to any person dealing in or selling coffee, tea, cocoa nuts, chocolate, or pepper, and having a license to retail spirits in any quantity not exceeding two quarts at any one time to be consumed elsewhere than on the premises where sold.
