Surplus money to use of the parish, as by act of vestry.

IX. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, That if it shall be found, that any surplus shall arise from the money collected by virtue of this and the aforesaid act, over and above what shall be necessary for the supporting and maintaining a regular watch, and carrying into execution the purposes of this and the aforesaid act, such surplus money shall be disposed of for the use and benefit of the respective parish, where such surplus shall arise, by the church wardens and parishioners of such parish, or the major part thereof, in such manner as they by any act of vestry shall direct and appoint.
