S.I. No. 270/2012 - Dumping at Sea (Fees) Regulations 2012.


Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 27th July, 2012.

I, PHIL HOGAN, Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 5 (5) of the Dumping at Sea Act 1996 hereby make the following Regulations:-

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Dumping at Sea (Fees) Regulations 2012.

2. In these Regulations—

“the Act” means the Dumping at Sea Act 1996 ;

“the Agency” means the Environmental Protection Agency established under section 19 of the Environmental Protection Agency Act, 1992 (No. 7 of 1992);

“dumping at sea permit” means a permit applied for to the Agency in accordance with Section 5 of the Act.

3. (1) A fee shall be payable to the Agency in respect of an application for a dumping at sea permit.

(2) The fee payable under paragraph (1) shall be the amount indicated in column 2 of the table in the Schedule attached to these Regulations opposite the relevant quantity of material to be dumped at sea listed in column 1 of the said table.
