DUBLIN COUNTY (DISTRICT ELECTORAL DIVISIONS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1994.

The Minister for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 89 of the Electoral Act, 1963 (No. 19 of 1963), hereby makes the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Dublin County (District Electoral Divisions) (Amendment) Regulations, 1994.

2. These Regulations, the Dublin County (District Electoral Divisions) Regulations, 1986 ( S.I. No. 13 of 1986 ) and the Dublin County (District Electoral Divisions) (Amendment) Regulations, 1986 ( S.I. No. 69 of 1986 ) shall be construed as one.

3. In these Regulations:—

(1) "the Act of 1993" means the Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1993 (No. 31 of 1993):

(2) "administrative county" means an administrative county established under section 9 of the Act of 1993;

(3) "the commissioner" means the Commissioner of Valuation;

(4) "the County Borough" means the County Borough of Dublin; and

(5) "the Principal Regulations" means the Dublin County (District Electoral Divisions) Regulations, 1986.

4. Part I of the Schedule to the Principal Regulations is hereby amended by the alteration of the boundaries of the district electoral divisions of Clondalkin-Monastery, Clondalkin-Moorfield, Edmondstown, Rathfarnham-Hermitage and Rathfarnham Village, described in the second column of the said Schedule, to coincide with the boundary of the administrative county of South Dublin as shown on the map prepared by the commissioner pursuant to section 10 of the Act of 1993.

5. In Part II of the Schedule to the Principal Regulations, the reference to the County Borough boundary in the second column of the entry in relation to the district electoral division of Castleknock-Park shall be construed as a reference to the County Borough boundary as altered pursuant to section 8 and 10 of the Act of 1993.

6. Part III of the Schedule to the Principal Regulations is hereby amended by the alteration of the boundaries of the district electoral divisions of Churchtown-Landscape, Church-town-Nutgrove and Ballinteer-Marley, described in the second column of the said Schedule, to coincide with the boundary of the administrative county of Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown as shown on the map prepared by the Commissioner pursuant to section 10 of the Act of 1993.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations alter the boundaries of certain district electoral divisions described in the Dublin County (District Electoral Divisions) Regulations, 1986 to coincide with the boundaries of the administrative counties of South Dublin and Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown fixed pursuant to the Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1993 . They also alter the boundary of a district electoral division described in those Regulations to coincide with the County Borough boundary as altered pursuant to that Act.
