LOCAL GOVERNMENT (DUBLIN) ACT, 1993 ESTABLISHMENT DAY ORDER, 1993.

The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 7 of the Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1993 (No. 31 of 1993) hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1993 , Establishment Day Order, 1993.

2. The 1st day of January, 1994 shall be the day appointed to be the establishment day for the purposes of the Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1993 .

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to fix 1 January, 1994 as the establishment day for the purposes of the Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1993 ; on which day, inter alia, new administrative counties and county councils will be established for Fingal, South Dublin and Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown.
