DISTRICT COURT AREAS (VARIATION OF DAYS AND HOURS) ORDER, 1987.

I, ALAN M. DUKES, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 26 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 (No. 32 of 1953), and after consultation with the President of the District Court, hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the District Court Areas (Variation of Days and Hours) Order, 1987.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of February, 1987.

2. In this Order "the Principal Order" means the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ).

3. The hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Ballyshannon shall, in lieu of the hours specified in column (4) at reference number 55 in the First Schedule to, and in column (4) at reference number 50 in the Second Schedule to, the Principal Order, be 10.30 a.m.

4. The hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Buncrana shall, in lieu of the hours specified in column (4) at reference number 57 in the First Schedule to, and in column (4) at reference number 51 in the Second Schedule to, the Principal Order, be 10.30 a.m.

5. The hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Carndonagh shall, in lieu of the hours specified in column (4) at reference number 58 in the First Schedule to, and in column (4) at reference number 52 in the Second Schedule to, the Principal Order, be 10.30 a.m.

6. The hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Donegal shall, in lieu of the hours specified in column (4) at reference number 59 in the First Schedule to, and in column (4) at reference number 53 in the Second Schedule to, the Principal Order, be 10.30 a.m.

7. The hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Dunfanaghy shall, in lieu of the hours specified in column (4) at reference number 60 in the First Schedule to, and in column (4) at reference number 54 in the Second Schedule to, the Principal Order, be 2.00 p.m.

8. The hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Dungloe shall, in lieu of the hours specified in column (4) at reference number 61 in the First Schedule to, and in column (4) at reference number 55 in the Second Schedule to, the Principal Order, be 10.30 a.m.

9. The hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Falcarragh shall, in lieu of the hours specified in column (4) at reference number 62 in the First Schedule to, and in column (4) at reference number 56 in the Second Schedule to, the Principal Order, be 10.30 a.m.

10. The hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Glenties shall, in lieu of the hours specified in column (4) at reference number 63 in the First Schedule to, and in column (4) at reference number 57 in the Second Schedule to, the Principal Order, be 10.30 a.m.

11. The hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Killybegs shall, in lieu of the hours specified in column (4) at reference number 64 in the First Schedule to, and in column (4) at reference number 58 in the Second Schedule to, the Principal Order, be 10.30 a.m.

12. The hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Letterkenny shall, in lieu of the hours specified in column (4) at reference number 65 in the First Schedule to, and in column (4) at reference number 59 in the Second Schedule to, the Principal Order, be 10.30 a.m.

13. The hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Lifford shall, in lieu of the hours specified in column (4) at reference number 66 in the First Schedule to, and in column (4) at reference number 60 in the Second Schedule to, the Principal Order, be 10.30 a.m.

14. The hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Milford shall, in lieu of the hours specified in column (4) at reference number 67 in the First Schedule to, and in column (4) at reference number 61 in the Second Schedule to, the Principal Order, be 10.30 a.m.

15. The hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Moville shall, in lieu of the hours specified in column (4) at reference number 68 in the First Schedule to the Principal Order, be 10.30 a.m.

16. The hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Newtowncunningham shall, in lieu of the hours specified in column (4) at reference number 69 in the First Schedule to, and in column (4) at reference number 62 in the Second Schedule to, the Principal Order, be 10.30 a.m.

17. The days for holding the District Court in the district court area of Pettigo shall, in lieu of the days specified in column (4) at reference number 70 in the First Schedule to the Principal Order, be the third Wednesday in February, June, September and November.

18. The hours for holding the District Court in the district court area of Raphoe shall, in lieu of the hours specified in column (4) at reference number 71 in the First Schedule to, and in column (4) at reference number 63 in the Second Schedule to, the Principal Order, be 10.30 a.m.

19. The hours for holding the District Court in the District court area of Stranorlar shall, in lieu of the hours specified in column (4) at reference number 72 in the First Schedule to, and in column (4) at reference number 64 in the Second Schedule to, the Principal Order, be 10.30 a.m.

20. Business transacted in the District Court which is initiated and is not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had been in force at the time at which such business was initiated.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order provides for earlier commencement times for sittings of the District Court in Ballyshannon, Buncrana, Carndonagh, Donegal, Dunfanaghy, Dungloe, Falcarragh, Glenties, Killybegs, Letterkenny, Lifford, Milford, Moville, Newtowncunningham, Raphoe and Stranorlar and for a variation of the sitting days for the District Court in Pettigo.
