MAXIMUM PRICES (FLAKEMEAL) ORDER, 1983.

The Minister for Trade, Commerce and Tourism, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 22A and 22 C (inserted by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1965 (No. 23 of 1965)) of the Prices Act, 1958 (No. 4 of 1958), as amended by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1972 (No. 20 of 1972), the Prices Stabilisation Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 96 of 1973 ), and the Industry, Commerce and Tourism (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1981 ( S.I. No. 290 of 1981 ), hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Maximum Prices (Flakemeal) Order, 1983.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 22nd day of August, 1983.

3. (1) The maximum prices at which flakemeal may be sold by retail shall be—

	Size	Maximum Price
( a )	In packets containing less than 750 grams	37.5p per 500 grams.
( b )	In packets containing from 750 grams to 1.25 kg.	72.5p per kg.
( c )	In packets containing more than 1.25 kg.	107p per 1.5kg.

(2) Where flakemeal is sold in a packet purporting to contain a specified weight of flakemeal, the packet shall be deemed, for the purpose of this Order, to contain that weight of flakemeal.

4. The Maximum Prices (Flakemeal) Order, 1982 ( S.I. No. 224 of 1982 ), is hereby revoked.
