MAXIMUM PRICES (FLAKEMEAL) ORDER, 1982.

The Minister for Trade, Commerce and Tourism, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 22A and 22C (inserted by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1965 (No. 23 of 1965)) of the Prices Act, 1958 (No. 4 of 1958), as amended by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1972 (No. 20 of 1972), the Prices Stablisation Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 96 of 1973 ), and the Industry, Commerce and Tourism (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1981 ( S.I. No. 290 of 1981 ), hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Maximum Prices (Flakemeal) Order, 1982.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 23rd day of July, 1982.

3. (1) The maximum prices at which flakemeal may be sold by retail shall be—

( a ) packets containing less than .75 kg — 35p per .5 kg,

( b ) packets containing from .75 kg to 1.25 kg — 68p per kg, and

( c ) packets containing more than 1.25 kg — 100.5p per 1.5 kg.

(2) Where flakemeal is sold in a packet purporting to contain a specified weight of flakemeal, the packet shall be deemed, for the purpose of this Order, to contain that weight of flakemeal.

4. The Maximum Prices (Breakfast Cereals) Order, 1982 ( S.I. No. 50 of 1982 ), is hereby revoked.
