CONTROL OF EXPORTS (IRAN) (REVOCATION) ORDER, 1981.

I, DESMOND O'MALLEY, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947), section 2 of the Control of Exports (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1956 (No. 1 of 1956) (which Act is continued in force by the Control of Exports (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1956 (Continuance) Act, 1977 (No. 26 of 1977)), the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (Transfer of Powers) Order, 1956 ( S.I. No. 52 of 1956 ) (as amended by the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (Transfer of Powers) Order, 1956 (Amendment) Order, 1963 ( S.I. No. 21 of 1963 )), and the Industry, Commerce and Energy (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1980 ( S.I. No. 10 of 1980 ), and after consultation with the Minister for Foreign Affairs, hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Exports (Iran) (Revocation) Order, 1981.

2. The Control of Exports (Iran) Order, 1980 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1980 ), is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to revoke the Control of Exports (Iran) Order, 1980 which prohibited certain exports to Iran.
