POSTAL ORDER (INLAND) AMENDMENT (No. 11) REGULATIONS, 1974.

I, CONOR CRUISE O'BRIEN, Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 23 and 24 of the Post Office Act, 1908, section 5 of the Post Office (Amendment) Act, 1951 (No. 17 of 1951), and section 3 of the Post Office (Amendment) Act, 1969 (No. 18 of 1969), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Postal Order (Inland) Amendment (No. 11) Regulations, 1974.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of October, 1974.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

4. The Postal Order (Inland) Regulations, 1905, are hereby amended by the substitution of the following for Regulation 5 (inserted by the Postal Order (Inland) Amendment (No. 10) Regulations, 1971 ( S.I. No. 34 of 1971 )):

"5. The poundage payable on postal orders shall be as follows :

For an order for any multiple of £0.05 between £0.05 and £0.95, both inclusive

3p.

For an order for any multiple of £1.00 between £1.00 and £5.00, both inclusive, and for £1.25 and £1.50

4p.

For an order for any multiple of £1.00 between £6.00 and £10.00, both inclusive

5p."
