PROSECUTION OF OFFENCES ACT, 1974 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1974.

I, LIAM MAC COSGAIR, Taoiseach, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 14 (2) of the Prosecution of Offences Act, 1974 (No. 22 of 1974), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Prosecution of Offences Act, 1974 (Commencement) Order, 1974.

2. The 18th day of September, 1974, is hereby fixed as the day on which the Prosecution of Offences Act, 1974 (No. 22 of 1974), other than sections 3, 5, 7, 9 and 10, shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order fixes the date on which the Prosecution of Offences Act, 1974 , other than sections 3, 5, 7, 9 and 10 comes into operation.
