MEDICAL PREPARATIONS (CONTROL OF AMPHETAMINE) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1970.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 5 and 65 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947), as amended by section 39 of the Health Act, 1953 , (No. 26 of 1953), hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Medical Preparations (Control of Amphetamine) (Amendment) Regulations, 1970.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on 19th June, 1970.

3. The Medical Preparations (Control of Amphetamine) Regulations, 1969 ( S.I. No. 244 of 1969 ) are hereby amended by the substitution for the Schedule thereto of the following Schedule:

SCHEDULE.

(2) Any salt of a substance for the time being specified in paragraph (1) above.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of the Regulations is to exclude from the scope of the Medical Preparations (Control of Amphetamine) Regulations, 1969, certain preparations which were formerly controlled under those regulations.
