AGRICULTURAL AND FISHERY PRODUCTS (REGULATION OF EXPORT) ACT, 1947 (EXPORT OF SALMON AND TROUT) ORDER, 1966.

I, CHARLES J. HAUGHEY, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 2 of the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947), as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 ), hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (Export of Salmon and Trout) Order, 1966.

2. The export of salmon (including sea trout) brown trout (including slob trout) and rainbow trout save under and in accordance with a licence in that behalf issued under the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947) is hereby prohibited.

3. This Order shall not apply to salmon or trout preserved and packed in tins, jars or other similar airtight containers.

4. The Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (Export of Salmon) Order, 1954 ( S.I. No. 275 of 1954 ), is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order prohibits the export save under licence of salmon and trout except those preserved and packed in airtight containers.
