AGRICULTURAL AND FISHERY PRODUCTS (REGULATION OF EXPORT) ACT, 1947 (EXPORT OF SALMON) ORDER, 1954.

I, JAMES M. DILLON, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947), hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (Export of Salmon) Order, 1954.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1955.

3. The export of salmon save under and in accordance with a licence in that behalf issued under the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947), is hereby prohibited.

4. This Order shall not apply to :

(a) salmon lawfully caught by rod and line by a person holding a salmon rod licence issued under the Fisheries Acts, 1842 to 1953, and taken by that person with him when leaving the State,

(b) salmon preserved and packed in tins, jars or other similar airtight containers.

5. The Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (Export of Salmon) Order, 1950 ( S.I. No. 90 of 1950 ), is hereby revoked.
