AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR AN INCREASE OF THE AGGREGATE AMOUNT OF THE LIABILITIES WHICH MAY BE INCURRED BY THE MINISTER FOR INDUSTRY AND COMMERCE UNDER THE INSURANCE ACT, 1953 , IN RELATION TO GUARANTEES GIVEN BY THAT MINISTER WITH RESPECT TO THE INSURANCE OF RISKS IN CONNECTION WITH EXTERNAL TRADE. BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS:— | ||||||||
Amendment of Section 2 of Insurance Act, 1953. |
1.— Section 2 of the Insurance Act, 1953 is hereby amended by the substitution of “five million pounds” for “two million pounds” in subsection (3). | |||||||
Short title and collective citation. |
2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Insurance Act, 1961. | |||||||
(2) The Insurance Acts, 1909 to 1953, and this Act may be cited together as the Insurance Acts, 1909 to 1961. |
