TRAFFIC SIGNS (TEMPORARY AUTHORISATIONS) ORDER, 1956 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1960.

The Minister for Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 69 of the Local Government Act, 1946 (No. 24 of 1946), as amended by section 36 of the Local Government Act, 1955 (No. 9 of 1955) hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Traffic Signs (Temporary Authorisations) Order, 1956 (Amendment) Order, 1960.

2. Article 2 of the Traffic Signs (Temporary Authorisations) Order, 1956 ( S.I. No. 285 of 1956 ) as amended by Article 2 of the Traffic Signs (Temporary Authorisations) Order, 1956 (Amendment) Order, 1958 ( S.I. No. 254 of 1958 ) shall be amended by the substitution of "the 31st day of December, 1961" for "the 31st day of December, 1960".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order amends the Traffic Signs (Temporary Authorisation) Order, 1956 ( S.I. No. 285 of 1956 ) so as to authorise the continuance in use until the Minister for Local Government otherwise determines or until 31st December, 1961 (whichever is the earlier) of certain traffic signs which are at present provided by road authorities and which are not in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations, 1956 ( S.I. No. 284 of 1956 ).
